The year in Scilly, especially the summer months, is very full. Some of the main events are detailed on this page, but there are many other events that take place on every island through the season. The Tourist Information Centre publishes a weekly "What's On" and notice boards on all islands have details of local Theatre Club productions (plays and reviews), music, slide shows, variety performances, talks on aspects of life in Scilly or on its rich and fascinating past. There is much more to Scilly than the stunning views and wonderful environment. It is a warm and vibrant community and the islanders will always make you welcome. You may well come to Scilly as a visitor, but you will leave as a friend. |
