The Isles of Scilly Country Guesthouse is situated in the peacefull countryside of rural St. Mary's. You will find this location ideal for reaching the unspoilt 'up country' areas and beaches all within a short walking distance.

Take a leisurely stroll along the coastal footpath to Watermill Cove or enjoy a relaxing picnic at Pelistry Bay and paddle across the sandbar to Tolls Island for the real Robinson Crusoe experience!

We are also only a stone's throw away from Carreg Dhu Gardens, The Isles of Scilly Golf Club, St Mary's Riding Centre, Bant's Carn Ancient Village and the pristine white sands of Bar Point, a favourite spot for swimming and family days out.

The Isles of Scilly Country Guesthouse offers a wide choice of rooms to suit your personal needs. There are single rooms, standard and premium doubles, and a family suite where parents and children can enjoy their own separate, but interconnected space.

The guesthouse provides excellent areas for socialising both indoors and out. There is a spacious sitting room with armchairs, a variety of books, TV and a piano. There is a guest kitchen with all the usual appliances and utensils and an iron and ironing board. Packed lunches are available upon request. Wireless broadband internet access is available in certain areas throughout the guesthouse. Outside there are landscaped gardens, a barbecue, and a games area where you can enjoy badminton, cricket, boccia and tabletennis. Your well behaved pet is most welcome.

In the bright and airy conservatory at the far end of the building is the Kaffeehaus Salbei. Here you can try rye bread with ham or cheese, freshly baked pretzels, strudel and other delicious homemade cakes and drink the finest coffees and speciality teas.

Both the Country Guesthouse and Kaffeehaus Salbei operate a strict no smoking policy anywhere on either premisis.

MOBILITY-ONE means that all facilities are situated on ground level for ease of accessibility to wheelchair users or others with mobility difficulties.

Road Directions

The Isles of Scilly Country Guesthouse is situated on High Lanes, a pleasant 20 minute walk from Hugh Town. Simply follow the main road out of Hugh Town past Town Beach and Porthmellon, carry straight on for about quarter of a mile until the road bears sharp left at a small junction. Stay on the main road for about another quarter of a mile up hill past Sunnyside Farm and Trewince and turn first right in to Town Lane. The guesthouse is situated about 500 yards straight ahead where the Lane bears sharply to the right and becomes High Lanes.

Public Transport Directions

The Isles of Scilly Country Guesthouse is located on the Community Bus route for your convenience, just ask the driver for High Lanes, a 7 minute ride from Hugh Town.
