Home > Stay-on-scilly > Mincarlo
Mincarlo is situated in a quiet corner of the bay on the waterfront overlooking St. Mary's Harbour and is now in is third generation of being run by the same Scillonian family.
The location of the hotel on the edge of Hugh Town enables easy access to the shops, tourist information, and pubs and restaurants where visitors will find many possibilities for eating out. It is only a ten minute walk to the quay for boating trips to other islands - a local boatman calls in at breakfast to advise which trips are operating each day. As Mincarlo is set in its own grounds, guests can enjoy the peace and quiet of being off the road, and from the terrace there is direct access down to the beach.
The house has a range of comfortable rooms, many with magnificent views across the harbour and over to other islands. The large number of bedrooms also makes it an appropriate venue for group bookings.
The sizeable lounge with bay window and the same stunning view is available to guests at all times, with an interesting selection of reading material for your perusal. The dining room also overlooks the harbour where guests can enjoy a full English breakfast , with fresh coffee to kick-start the day.
The constantly changing sunsets, seen from the house and its grounds, can be breathtaking and are often a perfect end to the day.
