The Loft House (4 star)
is a pleasant walk from Hugh Town and the harbour, passing by three small beaches, and is adjacent to Juliet's Garden Restaurant and the island's nine hole golf course. Rated 4-Star by the English Tourism Council, The Loft House is a new conversion of an old farm building, next to the ever-popular Orchid House and Barley House, sharing the same wonderful view over the harbour. Decorated in honey tones, The Loft House is a haven after a busy day on holiday! It has two bedrooms, and the lovely open plan kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and standard oven, also a sea view. Outside is a private patio complete with garden furniture for enjoying a Scillonian summer, while the central heating makes The Loft House equally suitable for year round visits.
The Summer House (3 Star)
is a cedar building set in its own garden, just metres from the edge of the sea bank. Although close to Juliet's Garden Restaurant, and the farm house, it is completely private with its own marvellous view out over the harbour. There is a door from the dining/sitting room into the garden, and a big picture window. Designed for summer living, The Summer House nevertheless is warm and comfortable in the cooler months, with night storage heaters in each room, and a heated towel rail in the shower room. Cots and high chairs are available, and dogs are welcome by arrangement
The Orchid House and The Barley House (4 star)
are adjoining two storey cottages, with glorious views over the harbour. They were converted from their original uses some time ago, and are ideal for all year round holidays.
The Orchid House has a front terrace with garden furniture overlooking the bay, as do the kitchen and the living/dining room windows. The cottage has two bedrooms - one with a double bed, and the other with a 3ft single bed and 2ft 6in bunks - sleeping five.
The Barley House is similarly arranged, also sleeping five, with the bedrooms downstairs, each having a lovely sea view. Both houses have night storage heaters in each room, a colour television, a stereo, a hair dryer, and a heated towel rail in the shower room. All linen and towels are provided and there is a washing machine for your use. Cots and high chairs are available and dogs are welcome by arrangement.
Standing Stone (4 star)
is set on the edge of our farmland at Bant's Carn, overlooking fields and marvellous seas, and is the first of two secluded houses to be carefully converted from a nineteenth century farm building. Downstairs it has a large double bedroom and bathroom en suite, giving onto the front garden through french windows. Also downstairs there is a twin bedded room, and a large, light shower room. Upstairs the light and airy sitting room reveals the most stunning of Scillonian views, with the help of a conservatory which houses the dining table. A roof patio with garden furniture leads off the conservatory and extends the feeling of space and freedom. Standing Stone is decorated and appointed throughout to a high standard. There is a dishwasher, night storage heating for winter holidays, CD/radio/tape player, television, video, hair dryer, washing machine and drying facilities and a heated towel rail in the shower room. All linen is provided, including towels and beach towels.
Standing Stone Terrace (4 star)
has been converted with high attention to detail and has a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. Again upstairs, the kitchen, complete with dishwasher, is open to the large sitting room, which has a television, video and CD/radio/tape player. The dining table is in the conservatory - perfectly situated for the sunset! The views from the whole of the upstairs suitably impressive. Leading off through patio doors is a large private terrace with picnic table. The mature front garden is shared between the two houses, and there are plenty of sunny corners with garden chairs.
