Arriving by Air
Flying to the Isles of Scilly starts from either the UK (Land's End, Penzance, Newquay, Southampton, Exeter, Aberdeen, Alderney, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Guernsey, Inverness, Jersey, Isle of Man, Leeds-Bradford, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Plymouth ), continental Europe (Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland) or the USA (New York). Each of these airports features a connecting or direct flight to the Isles of Scilly, leading to St. Mary's or Tresco.
Arriving by air, you find yourself descending upon a golden, glistening archipelago. British International Helicopters runs a regular helicopter service from Penzance, directly to St. Mary's and to Tresco. In addition, Isles of Scilly Travel operates scheduled airplane flights to St. Mary's from Southampton, Bristol, Exeter, Newquay and Land's End (with a shuttle to and from Penzance train station). With Air Southwest, you can fly to Bristol and Newquay for connections to The Isles of Scilly.

Arriving by Sea
When sailing to Scilly, the Islands gradually appear on the horizon, forming a welcoming cluster. Isles of Scilly Travel operates a passenger ferry, Scillonian III, which sails six days a week from March to October. Scillonian Sailing Dates for 2010: March 27th -October 30th 2010. Also, many cruise ship companies now include the Isles of Scilly on their itineraries, providing a truly distinctive way to arrive in, and to experience, our amazing archipelago.
You can, of course, also sail to the Islands by yacht or motor-cruiser. There are many good anchorages and a range of amenities for sailors.
Please note that there are no flight or ferry services on Sundays.
Arriving by Land
You can drive or take the train to any of the connecting air or sea departure points in the Southwest of England. All departure points are easily accessible by rail or road, each airport offers parking facilities, pets are welcome on Land's End flights, and there are many convenient train connections from the Midlands, London, and the South.
