Private Planes, Hang-gliders and Helicopters:

The Airport on St. Mary's is delighted to welcome private planes, and flying clubs. The airport is owned and managed by the Council of the Isles of Scilly and during the summer season operates between 7.30am and 7.00pm. The airport is open from Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays with the exception of a one hour departure only slot between 3.00 and 4.00pm. Respecting our environment
We are all aware of the damage our carbon footprint can do therefore we encourage carbon off-setting for all forms of travel. Various schemes are in place and carbon off-setting is available through individual airport websites.
