Lower Moors Nature Trail

Fantastic for local and migrant bird life. Lower Moors exhibits a wide range of wetland habitats; the shallow water is especially good for feeding migrant birds which are passing through or wintering on the island. There are also small populations of rare species in Scilly such as the Royal fern Osmunda regalis and Southern marsh orchid Dactylorhiza praetermissa

Lower Moors is a SSSI due to the wetland communities within the mire site. This site also lies within the Isles of Scilly Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
