NATURE

The unspoilt landscape of Scilly, which looks and feels so different from the rest of Britain, is its greatest asset and the wildlife and plants that flourish here make it a truly fascinating place to visit.

The Isles of Scilly have been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) since 1975 and offers a wealth of different landscapes, from clear seas and coastal heathland to woodland, farmland and archaeological sites. Within them all flourishes an array of plants, animals, birds and marine life, including some very rare species that are found nowhere else in the world.

Basking sharks, puffins, seals and dolphins are all here too, so don't forget to pack binoculars, a guidebook and your camera!
