ISLES OF SCILLY FOLK FESTIVAL 2013.

Yes, its back! The very best of folk kicking off the summer season on Scilly from March 27 to March 31. Kindly sponsored by the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company the islands’ folk club has yet again managed to lure the very best across the water for this unique Easter festival.

Wednesday 27th sees The Little Unsaid and Lampliter kick things off at the St Mary Hall Hotel with their unique singer songwriting skills; they’re already lighting up the UK folk festival scene; get over to the islands and be able to say "of course I saw them on Scilly in 2013…before they were big". Because they will be.

Thursday night – 28th - welcomes back a genuine Cornish supergroup in Dalla at the Methodist Chapel – the band that has delighted audiences in Cornwall and way beyond for well over a decade.

Friday night follows the proven genius of Dalla with more exciting youth talent up on stage – Flats and Sharps…sensational Cornish bluegrass from another young band going places – if you missed them at the Albert Hall last year catch them at the equally grand Scillonian Club in 2013!

Saturday is our own Folk Club night with anyone and everyone taking the stage for a uniquely Scilly session. Bring your instruments and get up and play.

Easter Sunday lunchtime sees the festival going overseas with all those left standing after Saturday night skipping across for a lunchtime session at the New Inn Tresco starting at crack of noon and continuing…

And Sunday night sees The Museum brought to life with Brave Tales from the great Will Coleman – if you’ve never seen Cornish storyteller extraordinaire Will you’re in for a treat; he never fails to brings the tallest of tales uniquely and hysterically to life.
