Chris Potterton – Chris is a Bryher man who  can turn his hand to almost anything, hence his eclectic  working life!  A history graduate, Chris has a passion for painting and as coxswain of the Men A Vaur and Chair of the local Community Centre can often be found at the heart of any community event. His love for Bryher will be made apparent to all who follow his ‘Top to Toe ‘exploration of Bryher.

Roy Duncan Roy was born and brought up in Scilly. He has been a local boat skipper for the past forty-five years and has been involved in many aspects of island life including that of local musician and Chair of Council. Whilst he has no specialist or in depth knowledge, Roy’s knowledge of the islands is second to none and he is seldom at a loss for an appropriate anecdote (usually amusing). Roy loves nothing better than sharing his great love of Scilly with island visitors.

Rosemary Parslow is a Professional ecologist and author of books on natural history including ‘Wild Scilly’ in Collins New Naturalist series (2007) and ‘Atlas of Ferns of Cornwall & Isles of Scilly’ (2012). Botanical recorder for Scilly since 1980s, Rosemary is currently compiling a work on the ‘Flora of the Isles of Scilly’.

Jaclyn Pearson - Jaclyn is Project Manager for the Isles of Scilly Seabird Recovery Project. She is a Zoologist and has lived on the islands for the past 4 years, she is committed to the conservation of the islands wonderful seabirds.

Darren Hart - Darren is a Conservation Warden for the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust. He’s a zoologist who has lived on the islands for the past 4 years and can often be found exploring the islands heathlands and wild places.

Keith Low - Keith is a born and bred Scillonian, whose passion and knowledge of island life is very nearly without compare.  A small boat fisherman working his pots on a daily basis around the shores of St Martin’s, anyone attending this walk is in for a real treat.

Robert Dawson – Robert has had a long interest in the natural history of Scilly and is currently volunteering for the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust.  Over the years Robert has taken part in a number of bird surveys both in Scilly and abroad.

Robert Sanger - Robert is a professional travel and landscape photographer living in Truro. A regular visitor and photographer of the islands, his photos can be seen in his company’s Isles of Scilly calendars, postcards, greetings cards and prints available through local retailers and online. www.blueplanetimages.com”.

Katharine Sawyer - Katharine Sawyer has an MA in Archaeology and moved to Scilly in 1999. She has been leading guided walks on the islands for 13 years. Her interest in all things Scillonian also extends to birds and sub-tropical plants.

Chas Wood - Chas Wood first visited Scilly in 1984 and moved to St Mary’s in 1999. He has been a tour guide for the last 12 years, leading walks and boat trips around the islands. His interests include birds, Scilly’s sub-tropical plants and its archaeological heritage.

Richard Larn - Richard Larn OBE is a celebrated marine historian and maritime author of over 60 books, he is a Cornish Bard and Knight of Mark Twain whose knowledge of the maritime history of Scilly is unequalled.

Alasdair Moore - Alasdair Moore is a Tresco resident, editor of ‘The Tresco Times’ and formerly editor of The Islander Magazine.  Previously Asst-Head Gardener at the Abbey Gardens for 10 years, as well as Chair of the Tresco & Bryher Rowing Club and cornerstone of the Tresco Cricket team, Alasdair is a fount of knowledge on not just Tresco but the islands as a whole.

Mike Nelhams – Mike Nelhams is both Curator of the world famous Abbey Gardens, and a natural story teller, the combination of the two makes for a memorable and animated tour of what is the jewel in the Scillonian crown.

Rachel Lambert -  Rachel Lambert is nationally known as a foraging expert & she has been teaching wild food on the Scilly Isles for the past 4 years. Her knowledge of edible plants on the islands will give you both enthusiasm for the subject and confidence to use these wonderful life skills. Rachel runs her own foraging business in West Cornwall www.wildwalks-southwest.co.uk & has learnt from various sources including seaweed expert Juliet Brodie from The Natural History Museum, London

  

Steve Sherris – Steve is a well known St Mary’s based landscape artist working in mixed media with a bias to oils and acrylic.  Often incorporating local ingredients such as sand, granite a shells. he can be found at  his new  gallery in Silver Street

Steve Sims – Steve is better known as the islands community bus driver, relief Radio Scilly presenter and general all round island wit!  A keen astronomer, Steve has a regular slot on Radio Scilly,  educating islanders and the stations mainland listeners on the wonders of the night sky.

Julie Love – Julie is Education Manager for the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust, having worked for the Trust for over 10 years.  Julie has an extensive knowledge of Scillonian wildlife and regularly takes locals and visitors on rambles exploring the islands foreshore.
