Nature
Scilly's natural history means it looks and feels quite different from the rest of Britain.
Our unspoilt natural and cultural environment has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) since 1975. The AONB designation identifies Scilly as one of the country's finest landscapes.
Our islands are home to rare plants and animals, exceptional marine wildlife, coastal heathland, traditional farmland, clear seas, clean air and rich archaeological sites.
Visitors come here to see basking sharks, puffins, seals, even dolphins and rare birds, so don't forget to pack your camera.
